Introduction
Slicers make interactive filtering easy but managing several at once can slow you down. In this guide, you’ll learn how to add and use Apply All Slicers and Clear All Slicers so you can update visuals or reset filters with a single click.
What you’ll need
Power BI Desktop (latest)
A report page with multiple slicers (e.g., Product Code, Date, Region)
Step 1 — Add the Apply All Slicers button
Open your report in Power BI Desktop.
Go to Optimize and insert a Button → choose Apply all slicers.

Place it where users can see it and resize for clarity.
Make a selection in a slicer (e.g., Product Code). You’ll notice “Not yet applied” appears.
Click Apply all slicers → all visuals refresh at once.

Why this helps: You can adjust several slicers first, then refresh visuals a single time cleaner UX and fewer unnecessary queries.
Step 2 — Add the Clear All Slicers button
Insert another Button and rename it Clear all slicers.

In Action, set the behavior to Clear slicers / Clear all slicers.

Click the button to instantly reset all selections.
Troubleshooting
Button doesn’t work? Ensure Action is enabled for the button. Nothing updates? Confirm slicers target visuals on the current page and that your selections are pending (Not yet applied appears).
Conclusion
With Apply All and Clear All Slicers, users control when visuals refresh and can reset filters instantly making reports faster, cleaner, and easier to use.
